One of the most revered venues on the small club circuit based in Dalston, London is the unsuspectingly sublime venue “The Shacklewell Arms” which plays host to music from every genre going and everywhere in between.
On the bill on this fateful Thursday night are an Australian rock/electronica 5 piece outfit calling themselves “Screensaver”, playing in the UK on their European northern hemisphere tour they have the aura of a band inspired by great new wave / electronica British bands and artists such as “Depeche Mode”, “The Cure”, “Gary Numan” with an intensity and prowess on stage thats undeniable, they’re good, real good.
Generating a huge sound built around solid drum notes by a drummer evicted to play in the Shacklewell cave and synthesisers up front, Krystal on Vox she sets the mood with far reaching lyrics and the wall of sound guitar and bass round off this powerful performance. incredible energy for a band almost at the end of their tour and they can still find spare space up on stage with Krystal coming down to the pit eery now and again, check them out when they’re back in town.
